Farewell, Vietnam!

Currently Listening to: “Pulaski at Night” by Andrew Bird

I arrived at Hanoi last Friday after taking the night train from Hue. It was a great experience and I’m so happy I took the train as I was able to get a full night’s rest. The first day in Hanoi started with a bit of excitement. We took a taxi from the train station to the hostel and the cab driver decided to take us the long way.   Continue reading “Farewell, Vietnam!”

Beach Days and Illuminated Nights in Hoi An

It’s been about a week since I’ve posted anything. I arrived in Hoi An safely after taking the 12 hour night bus from Nha Trang.  It was a long ride and the use of the horn was obnoxious at times, but in the end, it was fine. Continue reading “Beach Days and Illuminated Nights in Hoi An”

Why now?

Currently Listening to: “Colder Arms” by Mumford & Sons

I’m at the airport now and I am still completely dumbfounded as to how this day snuck up on me. I’ve spent the summer counting down the months, then the weeks, then the days and even the hours with my friend in Sydney, yet I still woke up in a state of denial disbelief. Continue reading “Why now?”
